CBG Is Not Extra-Strength CBD

A different letter names a different compound

CBG means cannabigerol. CBD means cannabidiol. The similar abbreviations do not describe a basic and upgraded version of one ingredient. They name different cannabinoids. A claim that one is simply stronger leaves out the important question: stronger at what, measured how, and in which finished product?

A plant pathway is not a product ladder

Cannabis research describes CBGA, an acidic precursor involved in pathways that produce several other acidic cannabinoids. CBG and CBGA are also different names, not a reason to call CBG the parent of every effect people associate with cannabis. Plant chemistry explains how compounds are related. It does not rank their usefulness for an athlete or establish a recovery benefit.

Return to the formula you actually have

Cannabolix currently identifies CBD isolate in its ingredient information. Do not assume it contains CBG because another brand discusses that cannabinoid or because both occur in cannabis research. Match each product statement to its actual formula. When a new abbreviation appears in a wellness conversation, first learn the full name, then ask what evidence supports the specific claim. Novelty can make an ingredient interesting without automatically making it a better choice for your routine.
